Responsibilities

Project Leadership: Led the development team in migrating legacy systems to Azure, meeting project milestones and deliverables.

Technical Oversight: Provide guidance for the conversion of Small Talk code to Java and migration of IMS DB to MongoDB.

Design and Architecture: Develop robust architectural designs for transformed applications.

Code Development: Write, test, and debug Java code and MongoDB integrations.

Integration: Ensure seamless integration of Quadient as the rules engine.

Collaboration: Work with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver solutions.

Quality Assurance: Oversee testing processes to maintain quality standards.

Documentation: Maintain project documentation and user guides.

Mentoring: Support junior developers in a collaborative environment.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and improve development processes.

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Minimum of 7-10 years of software development experience

Proven experience in leading transformation projects involving legacy systems

Extensive experience in Java development

Hands-on experience with MongoDB and database migration

Familiarity with Small Talk code and its conversion to Java

Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure

Knowledge of Quadient or similar rules engines is highly desirable

Strong leadership and project management skills

Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

Effective communication and collaboration skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Proficiency in using development tools and version control systems

Preferred

Relevant certifications in Java, MongoDB, Azure, or project management are a plus
