Senior Manager, Software Engineering

Responsibilities
Lead a team in the successful delivery of software projects.
Work with cross-functional teams and various business stakeholders to devise solutions to urgent business challenges.
Raise capabilities in the engineering team including developing coding, testing, and deployment protocols and best practices.
Maintain relationships and transparency with stakeholders such as Lab, Sales, Support, Customers, and Affiliates.
Partner with business and technology teams to prioritize roadmaps, requirements, balance business need with capacity, and technology constraints.
Influence senior engineering and business leaders to drive increased capability though engineering processes and technologies.
Work with business stakeholders and engineering teams to design innovative solutions to complex challenges faced by the company.
Supervise staff including organization and prioritization of work, write/conduct performance reviews, train/develop, and manage work performance.
Communicate goals clearly to employees to ensure understanding and success in achieving them and motivate and inspire employees to do their best work through coaching.
Maintain morale and support employee engagement initiatives.
Apply process management, negotiating, influencing, and problem resolution skills.
Manage five reports with the titles of Sr. Software Engineer II, Software Engineer, Sr. SFDC Developer, and Sr. Software Engineer I.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline, or foreign equivalent
Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a closely related position
Five (5) years with object-oriented, service-oriented architecture, micro-service architecture, and programming principals
Three (3) years of mentoring other team members and working with them to improve technology and apply best practices
Two (2) years of experience with interviewing, onboarding, and coaching new developers
One (1) year of experience in team leadership including organizing and motivating other engineering contributors and collaborating with engineering leaders and cross-functional team members, working with product team to schedule in an efficient and productive manner, translating business logic to technical solutions
