Responsibilities
Establish database management systems, standards, guidelines, and quality assurance for database deliverables.
Lead the daily development of data products and reports for internal and external clients.
Make data infrastructure decisions and architecture proposals.
Develop and maintain a world-class data lake/warehouse in GCP BigQuery.
Extract, Transform, and Load production data into the data warehouse using AirFlow.
Collaborate with Producers and Analysts to develop data supporting key metrics and reports for business development.
Respond to an ever-changing production environment by rapidly updating to provide a consistent, accurate view of data.
Build strong working relationships with Directors and CTO on key projects.

Required
8+ years as a professional Software Engineer; 6+ years relevant Data Engineering experience
Deep technical understanding of SQL and relational concepts
Extensive experience optimizing SQL queries and developing indexes for performance
Strong software development experience, including testing, preferably with Python
Experience developing DAG-based ETL jobs, preferably using AirFlow
Expertise working with data in the cloud: AWS, GCP preferred
Experience working with version control systems, such as Git
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment
Strong record of excellent communication, problem solving, and attention to detail
Preferred
Experience with AWS Data Migration Service a plus
