Responsibilities

Be proficient in processing raw data through relevant software such as Civil 3D Design and MicroStation

Able to use Civil 3D Design, MicroStation and Revit to modify drawings.

Prepare drawings to include calculating volumes and quantities from raw survey data.

Design and draft a wide variety of construction type elements such as architectural, civil, mechanical, structural, and environmental projects.

Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other project team members for specific design plans and specification requirements.

Perform quantity takeoffs for various types of construction projects and proposals using on-screen and manual take-off tools based on an accurate reading of blueprints, geotechnical reports, requests for proposals, and related documents and transfer data into software for review with others.

Understand the surveying process and be able to communicate with surveyors and construction crews on a regular basis.

Possess good verbal and written communication skills and be able to work directly with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, customers, and other entities and present themselves in a professional manner.

Logically plan successive work activities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Able to utilize the available time to organize and complete tasks within given deadlines.

Perform tasks with limited day-to-day management support.

Required

High School Diploma w/ CAD Training

5 years of design experience in Federal Government Construction with/for the Department of Defense and/or the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to include construction, civil earthwork design, civil roadway design, and site modeling. The candidate must also be familiar with current industry standards and practices.

Must be proficient in MicroStation

Possess the basic skills to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
