Responsibilities

Organize and execute research and testing to drive packaging innovation.

Develop and evolve robust testing methods for multiple packaging types.

Coordinate and conduct packaging tests, document key metrics, and provide recommendations.

Maintain records for historical data around packaging development and compliance.

Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to packaging and production.

Collaborate on efficiencies, cost reduction, and optimization projects.

Act as a consultant for packaging equipment purchases and moves.

Lead communication with packaging vendors and internal sourcing teams.

Assist Product Care Team with packaging-related consumer complaints and inquiries.

Participate in the Sustainability Committee to drive packaging efforts related to sustainability goals.

Stay updated on new packaging technology trends and collaborate with partners.

Organize vendor visits, presentations, and collaborate with co-manufacturer partners.

Assist in evaluating and equipping facilities with responsible packaging solutions.

Travel required between facilities, vendor facilities, industry expos, and training.

Required

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university

3-5 years of R&D experience in packaging, food production, or food technology; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Working knowledge of MatLab R or similar statistical software
