Responsibilities
Develop financial models related to inbound and outbound shipping to optimize cost, transit times, and service levels
Collaborate cross-functionally and with 3PLs to aggregate and dissect data from various departments and sources to conduct comprehensive service level, cost, and transit analysis at both aggregate and unit levels
Create a sophisticated shipping model to assess areas of need, gaps in service offerings, and potential impacts of contract changes on shipping operations.
Identify areas of improvement for inbound and outbound shipping across transit lanes, freight, duties, accessorials, etc., proposing actionable solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Develop, monitor, and analyze performance dashboards and reports related to transportation and shipping logistics, providing regular reports and insights to stakeholders.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in shipping logistics to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in related logistics activities such as freight rates, freight bill auditing, and carrier-related activities (sea/air/land).
Strong working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and advanced skills in MS Office: Excel, Access (creating tables, forms, queries, macros), and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret large datasets to drive decision-making.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex data-driven insights to stakeholders.
Preferred
Advanced degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
