Responsibilities

Develop perspective on making measurements and interpreting experimental data.

Conduct raw materials research, polymer formulations, compounding, polymer processing, and product transfers to manufacturing.

Incorporate current technologies to improve existing products and explore new technologies for potential applications.

Maintain technical rigor, housekeeping, and EH&S standards.

Identify innovative product solutions and ensure the security of laboratories and equipment.

Utilize computer skills for tasks including 3D Design, analytical software, Python, MATLAB, and Microsoft Office Suite programs.

Implement the agile methodology in the development of new products.

Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills

Experience in polymer research & development hands-on experience in a laboratory and a manufacturing/production environment

Experience in incorporating current technologies to improve existing products and explore new technologies for potential applications

Highly skilled in analytical equipment, polymer chemistry, extrusion, compounding, rheology, etc.

Technical rigor, housekeeping, and EH&S

Great communicator and a team player

Detail-oriented and resourceful

Preferred

Masters or PhD degree in polymer chemistry/science/engineering

Strong product/technology development experience including raw materials research, polymer formulations, compounding, polymer processing, product transfers to manufacturing

Expertise in statistics and Design of Experiments

Six Sigma certifications

Computer skills including experience with 3D Design, analytical software, Python, MATLAB, and Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Experience in learning & implementing the agile methodology in the development of new products
