Responsibilities
Serves as a Connect Specialist for UCF Connect Transfer Center and is the initial contact person for prospective students.
Answers phone calls, assists walk-in inquiries, receives and logs student documents, and responds to students and visitors with general questions.
Assesses, advances, and motivates students to schedule an appointment with an academic success coach and schedules the initial student appointment.
Uses the standardized contact strategy/communication plan and documents/tracks contacts using the identified software platform and additional mechanisms.
Shares information with students that assists them in their preparation for meeting with a success coach.
Maintains professional discretion and confidentiality related to student records and other information.
Provides administrative and clerical support to the UCF Connect Center.
Schedules meetings and appointments for staff and faculty.
Makes copies.
Distributes mail.
Collects and organizes statistical data.
Assists with room schedules for classes/meetings/events and facilitating room changes.
Assists with staff and student ID's, budgeting and purchasing, automotive and facility maintenance, office supplies and other related expenditure forms.
Maintains bulletin boards/workrooms/office suite.
Disseminates updated UCF marketing materials.
Assists with operations and events to include preparation of meetings and other relevant functions or events.
Organizes and participates in recruitment outreach and activities such as campus/faculty-related events via phone calls, e-mails, classroom visits, information tables, etc.
Open Houses, Degree Expos, Welcome Back events and other campus/community events.

Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 0+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219
Preferred
High level of customer service and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and develop effective relationships with key stakeholders.
Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills with high level of attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure in high-traffic environment with deadlines, goals and time limitations.
Ability to communicate effectively in a multi-lingual environment a plus.
Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). Knowledge of SalesForce, PeopleSoft and Teams a plus.
