Responsibilities
Review loss notices, evaluate coverage, establish reserves, and investigate claims.
Develop claim handling strategies, defense coordination, and expense control.
Handle claims associated with commercial liability exposures including New York Labor Law.
Monitor new losses, review policy documents, evaluate risk transfer, and prepare coverage position letters.
Evaluate liability and damages, make reserve recommendations, and resolve claims.
Participate in developing claim handling strategies, work on creative solutions, and deliver superior customer service.
Obtain and maintain claims adjuster licenses in required states.

Required
3 years’ experience in claims or a related field
Experience with New York Labor law claims
Creative problem solver
Committed to delivering great customer service and great claims handling
Ability to evaluate complex coverage and liability issues
Identify exposure
Communicate clearly and concisely with management and clients
Strong negotiator
Must obtain and maintain a claims adjuster license in states requiring licenses
