Responsibilities

Support the planning and acquisition of cost-effective, critical capabilities to support the war-fighting mission of combatant commanders, military services, government agencies, allies, and mission partners.

Provide program management, project management/acquisition support, financial management support, systems engineering, Information Technology (IT) support, administrative support, security support, and intelligence support.

Prepare programmatic security policy and/or regulatory documents, Security Classification Guides (SCG), and foreign disclosure policy.

Maintain independent thinking and action with little to no government or senior contractor oversight or direction.

Communicate across multiple platforms with team members, co-workers, government counterparts, and Mission Partners regarding status, upcoming milestones, issues/blockers, and remedying solutions.

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management, criminal justice, business, psychology, general studies, political science, IT management, business administration, cybersecurity, computer science, Homeland Security or similar degree

Five (5) years personnel/physical/facility security and/or SSO/FSO/FDO experience plus four (4) years functional personnel security specialist experience within the DoD

Expertise in oral and written English communications skills, including developing/updating/maintaining procedures and writing white papers/reports/briefings/minutes; advanced skills in the Microsoft Office environment is essential (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)

Experience in the preparation of programmatic security policy and/or regulatory documents

Experience in program security management within a component of DoD

Highly proficient writing skills

Experience preparing Security Classification Guides (SCG)

Experience in foreign disclosure policy within the last ten years – OR – experience as a Special Security Officer (SSO) or a Foreign Disclosure Officer (FDO)

Preferred

One or more of the following: SAF/CDM experience, SETA contractor experience, US Air Force (civilian, military, or contractor) experience, Headquarters/Joint Staff/COCOM experience

Experience as a Special Security Officer (SSO) or a Foreign Disclosure Officer (FDO)
