Responsibilities
Collaborate with teams across Lyft to ensure security best practices are leveraged as we roll out new features and expand our service offerings
Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and protocols.
Proactively research new attack vectors that may affect Lyft
Build and maintain relationships with key partners both internally and externally
Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
Act as a trusted advisor to team members and partners, offering expert guidance on security matters.
Support the development and implementation of security strategies and initiatives.

Required
5+ years of experience with computer security (or a deep interest in)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of product, security, and IT teams.
When facing a problem that's poorly defined or outside of your expertise, you can quickly learn what you need to dig in, make sense of the problem, and start working towards a solution
You understand that security work must be prioritized because all teams have finite resources. You have good judgment and a sense of when to compromise and when to hold your ground
You are comfortable writing and reviewing code with at least one of Lyft’s supported programming languages (Python, Go, Java)
Understanding of computer network security or major computer networking protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, HTTP, TLS, DNS)
You are able to manage multiple tasks and priorities while working independently with minimal supervision
