Responsibilities

Network engineer with hands-on experience in the installation and management of public and/or private networks such as Internet protocol (IP) networks, wide area networks (WANs), switches, routers (Cisco), and troubleshooting servers and networks.

Provide guidance to the Network/Server Lead, prepare performance reports, and report on critical issues and resolutions to the customer.

Evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance network capabilities, identify innovative solutions, and design and optimize network topologies.

Write PowerShell scripts, Java, and Python scripts, analyze and develop new hardware requirements, and prepare specifications for hardware.

Lead preparation of engineering plans, site installation Technical Design Packages, infrastructure installation schedules, and drawings documenting network configuration changes at each site.

Provide technical expertise to team members and business partners, troubleshoot complex issues, and assist in network installation configuration for new sites.

Coordinate with internal and external teams for procurement, installation, and management of network-related inventory.

Travel to customer sites for deployment activities, conduct training sessions, and ensure all team members are cross-trained in supported technology.

Respond to requests, document actions taken in a ticketing system, and prepare site installation and trip reports.

Required

5+ years of experience in Information Technology, focus in networking, Cisco router and switch configuration, LAN, WAN management.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

One or more technical certifications, preferably in networking (e.g. CCNA, CCST, CCNP) required.

Hands-on experience and expertise in the installation and management of public and/or private networks such as Internet protocol (IP) networks, wide area networks (WANs), switches, routers (Cisco), and troubleshooting servers and networks to provide maximum performance.

Hands on experience with server installations including Windows Server, Oracle OEL, Linux and Database Support.

Must be able to deliver clear and effective communication both verbally and non-verbally to deliver updates; briefings; or interface with co-workers; leadership as well as customer.

Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making.

Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Productivity applications.

Must be able to travel up to 25% CONUS and/or OCONUS.
