Responsibilities
Applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis
Using classified and unclassified systems to support creating targetable opportunities by identifying individuals and organizations posing threats
Analyzing processes to incorporate new processes within a new target model
Developing and building automated tools to optimize classifiers using machine learning techniques
Enhancing data collection procedures to automate repetitive processes and ensure data integrity
Conducting ad-hoc analysis and presenting results clearly
Assisting with general IT support as needed
Enhancing and supporting Cloud resource hosting solutions

Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline (preferred)
8+ years of related professional work experience
Demonstrated ability to build high quality prediction systems, and integrating these specialties and results with existing products
Demonstrated ability to utilize state-of-the-art methods to mine large data sets in various formats and from various sources to produce intelligence products
Demonstrated ability to utilize available third-party data sources to enhance a more comprehensive analytical picture
Demonstrated ability to create an automated detection system with internal tracking of its performance
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting
This position has a U.S. residency requirement. The USPS security clearance process requires the selected candidate to have resided in the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for the last five years as follows: U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 6 months consecutively in the last 3 years (unless they meet certain exceptions). Non-U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 90 days consecutively in the last 3 years.
