Responsibilities

Collaborate across functions to gather requirements and translate them into wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs.

Develop a design system that improves usability, quality, and speed of development.

Work with Product Managers to design interactive WebXR/VR experiences and gameplay that are visually appealing and user-friendly.

Work with the engineering team to ensure design standards are consistently met through a streamlined developer experience.

Conduct user testing and research to validate design decisions and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.

Required

Experience designing for XR, VR, or 3D games with an eye to engagement and fun.

Experience with user testing and research methodologies.

Excellent understanding of the principles of user-centered design and accessibility standards and best practices (e.g., W3C, universal design, multi-lingual support).

Excellent written and verbal communication to clearly articulate design decisions, ask questions, and reciprocate constructive feedback.

Strong, creative problem-solving skills.

Strong portfolio of past design work.

Preferred

Some programming experience, preferably in JavaScript, threeJS.

Proficiency with prototyping and design tools.

Effectively work both independently and with cross-functional teams.

Possess passion for creating innovative and engaging user experiences.

Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

Be adaptable, flexible, resourceful and reliable to drive multiple projects at once.

Possess a growth mindset, curiosity, and desire to learn.
