Responsibilities
Assist in the identification and collection of student achievement data from various sources
Analyze education and workforce data to extract actionable insights
Develop visual reports and presentations to communicate complex insights to multiple audiences
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and community partners
Maintain thorough documentation of analytical processes and data sources
Utilize Excel and PowerPoint extensively, with potential future use of Tableau and Alteryx
Perform other duties as assigned

Required
Insatiable desire to transform student achievement in Texas and belief that education can be an equalizer
A keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining accuracy in all aspects of their work
Passion for learning and for continuous improvement; comfort with ambiguity and demonstrated humility when learning something new
Enthusiasm to develop insights around complex, systemic challenges
Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions and features
Demonstrated history of balancing competing priorities and delivering excellent quality work
Strong written communication skills in email, Word, and PowerPoint and interest in developing strong verbal communication skills
Strong data visualization skills, particularly in PowerPoint
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
1-2 years of experience collecting and analyzing education and workforce data
Education: Bachelor’s or advanced degree
Technology Experience: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred
Professional experience in an analytics/insights, education, or nonprofit environment
Experience with education data and/or relevant social impact metrics
