Responsibilities
Supervises the team’s objectives and reports on progress of service resolution.
Hire, retain, and develop a growing team of engineers.
Build and manage effective relationships with customers and internal organizations (individual contributor to executive leadership).
Prioritize the team’s work to maximize resolution and productivity.
Provide department management reports of work status, service delivery issues, and resolution.
Develop training and mentoring programs for new and existing team members.
Lead complex, high urgency incident calls to rapid mitigation/resolution with a calm, rational, and diligent style.
Responsible for the team’s successful resolution of customer escalated issues.
Provide customer management (verbal and written) to prioritize, resolve conflict, and identify issues.
Work with internal organizations and 3rd party suppliers to ensure issues are resolved consistently to the service levels expected by our customers; both internal and external.
Influence teams to action that are not in a direct reporting relationship to drive service resolution.
Partner with internal and external teams to drive ongoing service improvement strategies and identify, propose, and implement new and innovative processes for continuous improvement.
Must be flexible in terms of hours worked and available on a 24/7 basis.
Domestic travel may be required of this position upon occasion.

Required
High school diploma or equivalent required with 5 years of related experience, or a Bachelor's degree.
Minimum 5 (five) years experience in technology or telecommunications industry with an emphasis on engineering methods, OSP/ISP, optical equipment & applications, and project management.
Minimum 1 (one) year experience successfully leading direct reports in a network planning, engineering or deployment setting.
Excellent team leadership, critical thinking skills, ability to manage customer service and contract requirements.
Expert familiarity with fiber construction methods and materials including fiber types, splice enclosures, and fiber termination equipment.
Expert familiarity with inside plant fiber connectivity (ISP), cabling and infrastructure as well as familiarity with datacenter operations/facilities and cross connect practices.
Proficiency in use of current office productivity software and standard office equipment.
Strong system and process knowledge in network and fiber services implementation.
Proficient analytical, organizational, and time management skills, including the ability to effectively prioritize assignments.
Demonstrated ability to utilize database management software systems.
Preferred
Experience with fiber test and acceptance is a plus including experience with fiber test analysis software such as Anritsu and Exfo Fastreporter.
Experience with project management software such as Sitetracker is desired.
Familiarity with Salesforce, M6/Metasolv, IQGeo, and Third party portal, i.e Equinix and Telx/DRT is a plus.
