Responsibilities

Determine business requirements by studying client business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements and formats.

Write and maintain functional specifications for new or modified business systems per Product Strategy and Roadmap priorities.

Create high-level design, user stories, use cases, and define acceptance criteria

Create or assist others in writing user documentation, instructions, and procedures.

Monitor and document post-implementation problems and revision requests.

Create direct communication channels with the software and application developers that foster transparency and help achieve company success.

Ensure requirements, specifications, designs, and plans for testing, support, and training align with business objectives and functional requirements.

Produce business cases supporting product enhancements, including cost analysis demonstrating savings.

Maintain user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.

Suggest changes to senior management using analytics and research to support your recommendations. Actively participate in the implementation of approved changes.

Create informative, actionable, and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement.

Demonstrate functional capabilities for internal and client-facing audiences.

Managing assigned projects to stay on time and within budget.

Act as a change agent by understanding current business processes and finding ways to improve their flow, effectiveness, and efficiency.

Keep track of industry trends of healthcare providers and payers

Required

Must have demonstrated some expertise in healthcare claim standards on the resume, including claims adjudication and payment processing.

Two (2) years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product management.

Three (3) years of healthcare domain experience, preferably in software development for healthcare revenue cycle management systems

Able to read and understand the industry standard X12 File formats (837, 835, 277, 271, etc.)

Significant experience listening to client issues and problems, relating them to client's needs, proposing appropriate solutions, and communicating these in technical and non-technical terms.

Team spirit and good communication abilities, preferably with the ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational.

Extremely organized with strong time-management skills.

Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle.

Technical background with knowledge of software development and web technologies.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field required.
