Responsibilities

Perform procurement planning and coordination to identify problems.
Advise contracting officers, management, and customers on contracting policies and procedures.
Provide authoritative interpretations of statutory requirements and policy regulations.
Analyze procurement activities to develop metric data and formulate new guidance.
Review acquisition strategies, solicitations, contracts, and modifications for compliance.
Present recommendations to higher authority and represent the organization on task forces.
Integrate information collection, analysis, and communication into operations.
Analyze information requirements related to procurement program initiatives and reporting.
Supervise staff and manage personnel responsibilities.
Assign work, provide advice, identify training needs, and support employee development.

Required

Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) from an accredited educational institution
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service
Warranted Contracting Officer experience planning of operational and strategic contract acquisitions
Coordinating strategies to provide resolutions to unique contracting problems
Reviewing acquisition strategies, proposed solicitations and contracts
Analyzing workload statistics and performance measures preparation
Developing training programs for contract support and professional development
Competency in Contracting/Procurement
Competency in Oral Communication
Competency in Procurement Analysis
Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12)
