Responsibilities

Drive account-specific merchandising programs to engage booksellers and customers.
Monitor, measure, and report on the effectiveness of merchandising initiatives.
Conceptualize, create, and distribute collateral and sales tools for channel sales colleagues and accounts.
Ensure alignment in merchandising strategy across business units and regions.
Collaborate with various departments to position products effectively based on market and customer needs.
Present Learning products to accounts, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Represent Wiley in library and bookseller communities.
Protect Wiley's IP and brand value through data integrity and monitoring.
Evangelize and champion channel mission, strategy, and needs internally.

Required

Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field is required.
Minimum of 5 years in an elevated marketing or merchandising role within a medium to large organization.
Extensive and proven experience working directly with book retailers and/or wholesalers and other book distribution channels.
Ability to lead cross-functional merchandising initiatives from concept through implementation with quantifiable results.
Understanding of book category management and merchandising functions.
Strong writing, communication, design, and technology presentation skills.
Experience tracking and reporting campaign results, including marketing dashboard creation and familiarity with merchandising KPIs.
Demonstrated experience in optimizing digital and ecommerce paths that resulted in increased engagement and sales.
Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects on deadline.
Organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed team player with a positive attitude and who thrives in fast-paced environments.
Creative and innovative thinker with a track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans and output and quickly evolving merchandising tactics based on performance.
Excitement and passion for finding new ways to reach and engage customers.
Proven ability to build relationships across various internal and external global stakeholders.
