Responsibilities

Participate in software development efforts in the Software Center of Excellence of the Surgical Robotics Organization.
Work with embedded software engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams for requirements definition, design, code implementation, unit test, and stem verification and validation.
Contribute to the development and troubleshooting using C or C++, and follow the test-driven development methodology.
Engage in software development in the medical device industry and provide post-product support.
Ensure compliance with SDLC best practices and tools, experience with software development interfaces to FPGA based program logic is a plus.
Work in a regulated industry, and have a basic understanding of surgical robotics.
Possess experience in Agile/Scrum/SAFe software development in the medical device industry.
Possess a solid understanding and appreciation of the SDLC process and tools like JIRA, Git, and JAMA.
May require limited travel and can work from home or in standard office settings.

Required

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree in the related field.
Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting using C or C++.
Experience in software development in medical device industry.
Experience in the test-driven development methodology and unit test.
Minimum of a BS in a technical discipline, preferably software related: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering. Master’s degree in related discipline preferred.
Solid understanding and appreciation of SDLC process and tools (JIRA, Git, JAMA, etc.)
Experience in a regulated industry (medical device or avionics) is preferred.

Experience in developing and commercializing software products in the fast-paced R&D environment, deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and best practices in the medical device industry, experience in providing post product support.
Experience in Agile/Scrum/SAFe software development in medical device industry.
Experience with software development interfaces to FPGA based program logic is a plus
Experience or basic understanding of surgical robotics is a plus.
Experience working with the global/multi-development sites environment is a plus.
