Responsibilities

Set a positive example of performance, responsibility, tact and professionalism.

Work in a safe manner 100% of the time.

Advocate for testing/validation of new technologies, ideas, and practices.

Test and evaluate electrical systems, perform static and dynamic testing of electrical motors, inverters, sensors, and data loggers.

Assemble tools, fixtures, and enhancements.

Research and develop new procedures and create formal documentation.

Make suggestions regarding safety and automation advancement opportunities.

Maintain detailed test plans and schedules while supporting multiple projects.

Support equipment preventative maintenance schedule and calibration efforts.

Participate in service activities to customers.

Conduct mechanical & electrical calculations, read and interpret motor manuals, and electrical drawings.

Create professional failure evaluation reports.

Communicate professionally via email, phone, and interpersonal communication.

Collaborate with marketing and other departments to deploy new knowledge and best practices.

Maintain a neat and orderly 6S environment.

Develop educational trainings based on testing conducted.

Submit budget requests for tooling, testing equipment, lab upgrades.

Assist Product Management with tasks.

Domestic and international travel required (up to 10%).

Required

BS in Technology/Engineering/Mechatronics/Computer Science preferred but not required.

Experience with gearboxes, motors, motion controllers, electronics, and other relevant hardware a plus.

Experience with monitoring/measuring equipment and data collection is a plus.

Versed in project management and timeline/goal setting.

Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities.

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Interpersonal skills. Excellent ability to get along with many diverse personalities in challenging situations, while maintaining a courteous, professional demeanor.

Ability to establish credibility and be decisive.

Excellent communications skills, written and verbal.

Results oriented with a high level of initiative.
