Responsibilities

Support the sale and handle the solution design/development of large integrated service projects to external customers.

Assist with resolving the overall project plan, budget, structure, schedule, and staffing requirements.

Assist external customers in the definition and implementation of complex integrated solutions requiring CrossLab services.

Assist in the pricing of customized solutions and ensure implementation or delivery within specified goals.

Build and maintain client and delivery partner relationships while coordinating with project team members.

Demonstrate a commitment to industry-accepted project management processes, practices, tools, and behaviors.

Assist with 3rd Party vendors on-boarding and contracting for assigned projects.

Be detail-oriented and capable of multi-tasking.

Be mobile at customer site for up to 8 hours with limited breaks.

Communicate effectively, lead meetings, and maintain documentation shared with customers, sales, and management.

Adapt to change and make tough trade-offs within a timeline, project, or departmental needs.

Work well in diverse teams and make course corrections if required.

Required

Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field required; may consider applicants with other related university degree and/or equivalent combination of education, training and hands-on experience

8+ years relevant work experience with 5+ years of customer-facing field project management

Training in Project Management (PM) methodologies or equivalent experience and demonstrated PM concepts and tools required

Effective collaboration skills

Experience working with external customers

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience using relational database knowledge using ad-hoc reporting tools to extract data and create and analyze custom reports

Ability and willingness for overnight travel. While some work may be in the local area and home office other project locations may require extensive travel (50+%)

Preferred

Laboratory technical experience or laboratory instrument service and maintenance experience preferred

Basic GMP and GLP experience a plus

Ability to manage and understand laboratory instrument service and maintenance business (process & financial)

Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred

Experience collaborating with 3rd party service providers

Demonstrated ability to price and implement complex lab instrument service and maintenance programs at customer sites preferred -- experience pricing projects desired

Lean Six Sigma background not mandatory but a plus

Familiarity with the following software is required - Microsoft office (Excel / Word / Share Point). Additional software such as Maximo, SAP, or other data management software, MS Project, Visio, Smart Sheet or other project management software knowledge is desired
