Responsibilities

Collaborate across teams to consolidate and simplify infrastructure tools and services

Build libraries, modules, and packages for fellow engineers to integrate into their projects

Automate Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes to amplify feedback loops and deliver high-quality software at greater speed

Work closely with internal partners and application teams to ensure provisioning of secure, SLA-compliant, and high-performance infrastructure

Solve problems towards simplicity of architecture and operations

Stay updated on improvements and new capabilities offered by Amazon Web Services

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science\Related field (or equivalent experience)

3-5 years of experience in DevOps Engineering

2+ years of experience in a cloud first environment utilizing Amazon Web Services

Experience with an OOP language such as Java or C#

Expert proficiency in a scripting language such as Bash or Python

Well versed in development patterns, concepts, and designs

Demonstrated experience implementing DevOps tools and practices to drive the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) mindset

Consensus building through teamwork and collaboration

Inquisitive and dedicated to improving our processes and producing excellent, high-quality solutions for our customers

Meticulous in their interactions with mission-critical production systems

3+ years of experience coding or operating production systems

Proficiency automating deployments of infrastructure and/or web-based applications in AWS

3+ years of experience with monitoring and alerting solutions like OpsGenie, PagerDuty, New Relic, or AWS CloudWatch

Expertise in Windows and/or Linux administration

3+ years of experience administering web servers such as IIS, NGINX, and Apache

Experience administering Data Stores such as Oracle, Amazon RDS, and Redis

Expertise in the implementation/administration of AWS resources such as IAM, AWS SSO, Lambda, Fargate, Step Functions, CloudWatch, S3, Route53, ALB, RDS, and GuardDuty

Expertise in the utilization/integration of DevOps tools/practices such as Source control (Github) and modern feature branching strategies, CI/CD tools (TeamCity, Octopus, Nexus, Github, BuddyCI, etc.), Artifact/Package Management (Nexus, Artifactory, NPM, NuGet, etc.), Application Lifecycle Management (JIRA, Atlassian), Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Kustomize, Helm, Istio etc.)

Experience utilizing Site Reliability Engineering tools/practices such as Infrastructure as Code frameworks (CloudFormation, AWS CLI, Terraform, etc.), Configuration Management (Ansible, Puppet, cfn-init etc.), Application Performance Monitoring (Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Application Insights, etc.
