Responsibilities

Understand and diagnose networking issues between on-premise (customer) devices and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (Kubernetes) backends.

Design and implement low latency, high bandwidth networking code in google3 and non-prod environments (GCP, Chrome OS, non-production Linux, gRPC).

Develop C++ networking stacks on Linux targeting google3 and OSS environments.

Help other team members with general networking issues (helping set up firewalls, DHCP, logging, monitoring).

Required

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.

3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

3 years of experience with performance analysis.

3 years of experience working in C++.

2 years of experience working in Networking or another related field.

Preferred

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.

3 years of experience working in WebRTC.

1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.

Experience developing accessible technologies.
