Responsibilities

Be the thought leader on the economic underpinnings of the Business Prime program.

Influence stakeholders across functions and at senior levels of Amazon.

Engage with SDM counterparts to build technology solutions for customers.

Partner with marketing on campaigns optimized for customer and Amazon value.

Communicate complicated concepts clearly to business leaders and other scientists.

Execute major strategic projects under fast-paced business deadlines.

Build data products such as automated and productionized models at scale.

Contribute to pricing, plan structure, benefits/proposition, and strategic decisions.

Required

PhD in economics or equivalent

Experience in industry, consulting, government or academic research

5+ years experience in analytics, data science and applied economics

Preferred

Experience in building statistical models using R, Python, STATA, or a related software

Experience working with software developers and product managers

Experience in pricing, subscription economics, churn reduction, rewards programs
