Responsibilities
Design and implement high-throughput, low-latency fault-tolerant distributed system architectures for complex generative AI models.
Build relationships with product managers, ML scientists, development managers, and engineers across various AWS service teams.
Participate in agile project management methodologies to provide technical leadership and project management for all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Participate in hiring, mentoring, and developing world-class engineers within and outside of the team, sharing expertise and best practices.
Ensure high-quality design reviews meeting business and architectural goals and drive critical feedback on architecture and design issues.
Spearhead best practices enabling a quality product and maintain high standards.
Participate in strategic planning to achieve technical and business goals with the team, leadership chain, and customers.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and generative AI technologies.

Required
5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Preferred
5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
