Responsibilities

Scope, design, and build database structure and schema to enable all team members to self-serve.

Create data pipelines using ETL connections/SQL queries to bring new attributes into the master database.

Retrieve and analyze data using a broad set of Amazon’s data technologies and resources.

Pull data on an ad-hoc basis using SQL queries.

Design, build, and maintain automated reporting, dashboards, and analyses to enable self-service data needs.

Conduct deep dives to identify root causes of pain points and opportunities for improvement.

Become a subject matter expert in data and support all team members.

Work closely with teams to ensure standard metrics and definitions are used.

Collaborate with finance and business to gather data and metrics requirements.

Required

Master's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field

Knowledge of advanced skills in Excel as well as any data visualization tools like Tableau or similar BI tools (familiarity with Tableau preferred)

Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Preferred

Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs

Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
