Responsibilities

Maintain documentation such as batch logs, SOPs, quality documents, P&IDs, PHAs

Work with maintenance to resolve mechanical problems

Manage compliance such as PPE, safety practices, complete safety interventions

Design, manage, and implement projects to improve safety, reduce cycle time or downtime, reduce waste and variability

Lead PHAs, DMAIC projects, PDCA projects, kaizen events

Evaluate the performance of the reactors, analyze process data, and lead investigations

Interact with customers to resolve complaints and participate in audits

Provide chemical expertise to the plant, including maintenance, EHS, and emergency response

Required

B.S. degree, Chemical Engineering

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaborative relationship within all levels of the organization.

Advanced skill level with Microsoft Excel.

Familiarity with Process Safety Management

Preferred

Experience in Coatings and Resins production preferred.

Familiarity with lean manufacturing tools and six sigma tools is preferred.
