Responsibilities
Performs Depot Level Maintenance of F-18 Naval Aircraft Mechanical Systems.
Disassembles, repairs, and reassembles major aircraft systems, their assemblies, and components.
Installs, aligns, and functionally and operationally tests various major and minor mechanical and pneumatic systems on the aircraft during overhaul or modification.
Diagnoses malfunctions and overhauls fuels accessories by disassembling, cleaning, and examining parts for corrosion, wear, scratches, cracks, or other damage.
Fabricates fuel, oil, and vacuum hose lines, makes modifications of aircraft fuel equipment as required by technical orders.

Required
High school diploma or its equivalent
Minimum experience or military experience as an aircraft mechanic or airframes on F-18 aircraft
Must pass background investigation for Secret Clearance
U.S. Citizenship status is required
Must be able to pass a NACI which could include a credit check
Maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing
Ability to travel across FRCSW sites throughout the US and Outside Continental United States
Preferred
Working knowledge with Advance Skill Management (ASM) or willing to learn the functions
Experience with electronic publications like Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM)
Knowledge in navigating NATEC website to access Technical Publications, service bulletins, technical publications, blueprints, IPB (Illustrated Parts Breakdown), MIM (Maintenance Instruction), LES (Local Engineering Specifications), LPS (Local Process Specifications) and TEI (Temporary Engineering Instructions)
English language skills to communicate with customers
Strong communicator must be able to communicate clearly both in writing and orally
Ability to train others
Customer service oriented, detail focused, pro-active behavior, multi-task capability
Knowledgeable in navigating computer functions to access company timesheet systems and training requirements, and to access FRCSW share drives - mandatory trainings and timekeeping systems
