Responsibilities

Establish partnerships with source system data owners to understand and document requirements related to the data.

Analyze, query, and manipulate data based on defined business rules and procedures.

Perform root cause analysis for data errors, interpret findings, and identify steps for remediation.

Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested by managers or leaders.

Ensure accuracy and quality of own work, conducting accurate research on queries before submission.

Handle enquiries professionally and in a timely manner in a deadline-driven environment.

Required

Establish partnerships with source system data owners to understand and document requirements related to the use and gain an understanding of the data, including scope of data, limitations, attribute definitions, and linkages to other datasets.

Strong Data Management and Metadata Analysis skills.

Analyze, query and manipulate data according to defined business rules and procedures

Performs root cause analysis for data errors; research and find scope and complexity of issues, interpret findings, and identify steps for remediation.

Prepares ad-hoc reports at the request of managers and/or other leaders.

Primarily responsible for the accuracy and quality of own work. Ensure accurate research carried out on queries and subsequent responses prior to submission to relevant parties.

Working in a stringent deadline driven environment with the ability to manage pressure and changing work environment Professional and timely handling of all enquiries.

Preferred

Market data contracts, negotiations, reporting proper usage of data

Review existing exchange and third party agreements

Process documentation and licenses

Real time market data or exchange

Excel, Confluence, PowerBI are preferred

Financial services background is a plus but not required

Bachelor’s degree is not required if candidate has relevant skills

Onsite 2 days per week in Pittsburgh office
