Responsibilities

Perform general clerical duties related to the assigned functional area
Type, proofread and process various documents and forms from rough drafts or verbal instructions
Act as a receptionist; answer the telephone, serve as the first point of contact and provide information on department policies and procedures
Issue, receive, type and process applications, permits and other forms; register participants in County-sponsored programs
Process bills, collect fees and record payments; send delinquent notices as necessary
Operate standard office equipment and computer software applications related to the assigned area
Schedule inspections and appointments as assigned
Attend meetings, take notes and prepare meeting summaries
Perform clerical work including filing, billing and recording information
Build and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, other County employees, and the public using principles of good customer service
