Responsibilities
Identify, market, pursue, win, and perform SPE and Project Management services on CEI projects.
Provide construction contract administration and act as the lead Engineer for the company on construction projects.
Supervise other employees, oversee hiring CEI team personnel, and foster relationships with other CEI consultants.
Direct highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection programs, ensuring compliance with TxDOT standards.
Support new project pursuits, win work, and oversee a construction management team.
Source, train, and develop staff.
Plan and organize the work of subordinate and staff members.
Develop and/or review policies, methods, practices, and procedures for complex construction projects.
Oversee the preparation and maintenance of construction project records in accordance with TxDOT procedures.
Direct and organize project meetings, coordinate with subconsultants, examine contractors' schedules, interpret plans and specifications, review contractor's daily operations, inform Client on project issues, and interact with Project Managers and clients.
Utilize Client Relationship Manager (CRM) to report and track ongoing business opportunities, responsible for proposal management on lead pursuits, and participate in marketing initiatives.
Ensure timely completion of time sheets and expense reports, take ownership of personal career development, and provide feedback.
Other marketing duties include providing timely resume updates, project write-ups, and proposal support.

Required
A Civil Engineering degree and registered in the State of Texas as a Professional Engineer (or if registered in another state, the ability to obtain registration in the State of Texas within six months) and 6 years of engineering experience or 2 years of which are in major road or bridge construction or 5 of which are in major bridge construction) - for Complex Bridge Projects with the exception of PTS projects which require 2 years of major bridge construction], or for non-degreed personnel the aforementioned registration and10 years of engineering experience 2 years of which are in major road or bridge construction.
Valid Driver’s License and a clear driving record
Preferred
Master's degree in Civil Engineering
Texas Professional Engineer (PE) License
