Responsibilities

Responsible for new business development in assigned geographic territory.
Maintain close and ongoing communications with the Regional Sales Managers.
Build a professional network to identify new business opportunities.
Meet established goals such as sales targets, customer increase, and pipeline build-up within the assigned territory.
Direct selling strategy on key opportunities, including pricing, service, investment, risk, scheduling, and technical promotion issues.
Utilize knowledge of the market and competitors to develop selling propositions and differentiators.
Work with global engineering and sales teams to develop proposals and present products that meet customer requirements.
Research and present market data to identify new product development opportunities.
Collaborate with customer support roles to optimize service to customers.
Create and deliver customized product presentations.
Identify and build relationships with key customer decision-makers.
Conduct or assist with product exhibitions at the OEM.
Prepare and submit sales activity reports on a timely basis.
Attend sales meetings and present market, account, and project status updates.
Maintain distributor registration program and quote activities within the region.
Ensure design registrations are processed and resolve any conflicts.
Develop strong relationships with account managers at distribution branches.
Accountable for local distribution success and growth.
Maintain high visibility at branch locations to position Hirose's products as the connector of choice.
Conduct opportunity reviews with Distributor Account Managers to drive accountability.
Buddy calls with channel sales teams to drive opportunities for Hirose.
Ensure sales opportunities are loaded and maintained in SalesForce.com.
Identify, evaluate, and coordinate the development of potential product lines with key accounts and future customers.
Implement New Product Introduction plans.
Monitor trends in customer industry to anticipate needs.
Interface with industry groups and standards committees.
Demonstrate leadership and teamwork.
Build relationships with Hirose Japan personnel.
Create a collaborative team environment within the support groups.
Complete tasks per ISO9001-2008 requirements.
Prepare and submit sales activity reports and required reports in a timely manner.

Required

BS/A degree in Business or Technical field required.
Five + years sales experience.
Five + years sales experience in the electronic component industry required. Interconnect experience is a plus.
Must possess technical knowledge to be able to fully comprehend the customer's requirements and provide the appropriate HRS product solution.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent project management skills.
Organizational skills must be above average. Ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
Possess excellent communication skills (oral and written) in order to work with both external and internal customers. Able to clearly and concisely communicate across different cultures.
Excellent presentation skills including creating PowerPoint presentations.
Ability to resolve issues and escalate in a timely fashion and to the customer's needs.
Computer literate and proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Salesforce.com.
Self-motivated & positive attitude with great energy.
Must be able to travel up to 40% of time to distributor branches and the multiple customer's R&D locations.

Preferred

Existing distributor relationships is a plus.
