Responsibilities

Analyzing situations accurately and adopting an effective course of action.

Communicating effectively both orally and in writing.

Conducting research studies, analyzing facts and data, developing recommendations, and preparing written reports.

Creating and developing queries and reports from a student information system.

Developing documentation and providing training to other district staff.

Developing procedures and user manuals.

Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others.

Exercising independent judgment in assigned areas of responsibility.

Interpreting, explaining, and applying laws, rules, policies, and procedures.

Learning various information and administrative systems.

Operating computers and business-related software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

Planning and organizing work.

Working independently with little direction.

Troubleshooting system issues, providing analysis, and recommending fixes.

Knowledge Of: PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.

One or more student services functions, including academic advising, registration, or student records.

District organization, operations, policies, and objectives.

English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary.

Laws, codes, regulations, and policies related to specialty areas.

Modern office practices, procedures, and equipment, including computer hardware and software.

Principles, practices, methods, and terminology used in assigned functional areas.

Research methodology, statistical analysis, report preparation, and presentation.

Training And Experience To: Three to five years of increasingly responsible experience involving information systems analysis, including advising clients on technology solutions and conducting business process analyses, and troubleshooting large and complex software applications.
