Responsibilities

Serve as a Partner Software Engineer and key contributor within Microsoft’s Xbox Experiences and Platform Developer team

Advance game development tools, platform, hardware, and services through direct ownership and technical influence

Identify and drive opportunities leveraging AI to increase game creators' productivity

Drive for quality and continuous improvement in all aspects of work

Coach and mentor other engineers, fostering skill development and team culture

Contribute to an inclusive, creative, high-performance team culture

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

Proficient understanding of systems, hardware, and low-level hardware/software interaction

Demonstrated skills in problem-solving, design, execution, and debugging

Ability to work on a large codebase and willing to take on a wide variety of challenges

Ability to influence partner teams, both within Microsoft and external to Microsoft

Preferred

10+ years of professional coding experience in C/C++

8+ years of experience with the game development industry and game studio workflows

Familiarity with modern game engine and service middleware offerings

Motivated to learn and push the boundaries in challenging technical domains
