Responsibilities

Collaboratively help build, manage, and support a complex AWS SaaS/IaaS infrastructure including multiple AWS accounts and services, Mulesoft, security and monitoring capabilities, and DevOps release support.
Manage AWS vendor relationship and billing.
Collaborate with infrastructure, development, and security specialists to design and expand MissionSquare’s cloud infrastructure in support of cloud-centric applications and services.
Improve the reliability, performance, and cost efficiency of MissionSquare cloud applications and infrastructure through agile feedback and improvement methods.
Help proactively identify innovations and process improvement opportunities by challenging conventional practices and adopting new methods.
Help with the implementation and sustainment of Infrastructure as Code templates to automate infrastructure maintenance and increase efficiency.
Support MissionSquare cloud services leveraging tools such as EC2, S3, EFS, VPC components, SG, NACL, ALB, IAM, CloudFormation, SNS, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
Assist in the analysis of new services, capabilities, and vendors as well as with proof-of-concepts/prototypes for new technologies/solutions.
Communicate effectively with various teams and stakeholders within the organization.
Partner with delivery and engineering teams to support solution development using Agile practices, including supporting DevOps pipelines.
Monitor and report on project activities, status, tasks, and issues/risks.

Required

BA/BS or equivalent experience
Ten or more years of experience
12+ years designing, implementing, and supporting Amazon Web Services (AWS)
12+ years systems administration experience managing enterprise Windows and Linux environments (preferably RHEL)
12+ years in a 24 by7 production operations role supporting critical, highly available environments
Strong understanding and experience with Networking components, concepts and troubleshooting techniques, including web traffic load balancing and AWS elastic load balancing, Transit gateways, VPC Gateways
Experience with authentication and single sign-on mechanisms
Experience patching systems and applications according to standard patch schedules, applying baselines controls
Experience with relational databases such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server, AWS RDS
Experience configuring system and application monitors tools
Experience with DevOps tools like Terraform, Docker, Git, CodeCommit, Codebuild, Codepipeline and Agile methodologies
Knowledge and understanding of current programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
Experience automating cloud infrastructure and services
Ability to evaluate and prioritize projects from both a financial and operational perspective
Strong understanding of corporate strategies and goals as relates to technology initiatives and the ability to align the two.
Proven ability to interact with all levels within the organization as well as with vendors.
Uses logic and proven methods to solve difficult problems
Ability to prioritize among many competing projects/initiatives
Ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders
Excellent verbal skills, written skills with the ability to communicate clearly, succinctly, and persuasively
