Responsibilities
Conduct data science projects focusing on analytical design, schedule management, and stakeholder communication.
Fit and assess predictive models using statistical and machine learning techniques in Python.
Perform all phases of analysis, including data compilation, exploratory data analysis (EDA), feature engineering, and report generation.
Collaborate with technical and non-technical peers and stakeholders as part of a data science team.
Lead and oversee the work of other data scientists within the team (preferred qualification).
Utilize domain expertise in utilities, geospatial analytics, and interactive visualizations for project development (preferred qualifications).

Required
MS or PhD in Engineering, Math, Statistics, or similar field of study
Minimum 3 years conducting data science projects in industry or applied research – analytical design, managing schedule and communicating results to stakeholders.
MS + 1 year of applied experience OR PhD with applied analysis in above mentioned fields of study
Extensive experience fitting and assessing predictive models (statistical, machine learning) in Python.
Experience conducting all phases of analysis, including data compilation, EDA, feature engineering, and generating deliverables.
Experience working as part of a larger data science team, collaborating with technical or non-technical peers and stakeholders.
Preferred
Experience leading and overseeing the work of data scientists within a team
Domain expertise in the utility space (electric, gas, water)
Domain expertise in geospatial analytics or using remotely sensed weather observations
Experience developing and deploying interactive visualizations
