Responsibilities
Collaborate with design, engineering, design systems, and product management teams to deliver products and services using an iterative, customer-focused design process.
Participate in planning, estimating work, and broader workstream coordination.
Create high-quality deliverables based on product design goals and priorities, managing work according to a comprehensive schedule without prescriptive guidance.
Utilize and extend established product design techniques, templates, presentations, and assets to develop design analysis, solutions, and materials.
Adapt and propose new solutions for PayPal product design tools, methodology, and software.
Foster collaborative cross-discipline dynamics and drive delivery excellence in product design.
Lead and mentor junior product design practitioners in best practices, processes, and methodology.

Required
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Design, Information Architecture, Human Factors, or equivalent project/portfolio experience.
8+ years of experience in UX/UI design.
Comprehensive understanding of product design methodology and lifecycle across various channels and platforms.
Experience using design research methods to uncover customer insights.
Ability to lead design initiatives and mentor junior designers.
Manage product design responsibilities against defined milestones and plans with minimal oversight.
Ensure iterative design processes are followed.
Adapt and optimize design tools and methodologies.
Proficiency in creating designs for mobile, web, and native solutions.
Experience with pattern libraries, repositories, and internal communication tools.
General awareness of technology mediums (e.g., JavaScript, HTML/CSS) and their differences.
Customer-focused with a strong understanding of user-centered design principles.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Ability to create visually sophisticated brand experiences that build trust and security in financial products.
Preferred
Experience in financial services or related industries.
Ability to influence stakeholders and advocate for design vision.
Strong portfolio showcasing interaction and visual design skills.
