Responsibilities

Provide technical guidance and create standard work processes.

Manage projects and explore design modifications.

Work closely with technicians and provide feedback on overhauling parts.

Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.

Develop, coordinate, and research manufacturing processes.

Design and validate manufacturing processes and products.

Research, analyze, and design product design and modernization proposals.

Maintain configuration management of products and processes using current systems.

Support supply chain activities such as supplier selection and validation.

Provide technical guidance on fabrication and manufacturing of materials and services.

Required

Project management experience, within the Shipbuilding industry (strongly preferred).

Software and/or hardware engineering activities of analysis, design, or test nature.

Research, development, and/or installation of products and systems in conformance with engineering design and customer specifications.

Experience with any CAD package - Solidworks, AutoCAD, etc.

Familiarity with PDM and PLM tools.

Preferred

Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.

Ability to develop, coordinate, and monitor various aspects of production.

Ability to research, design, develop, and validate manufacturing processes, tools, and/or jigs.

Ability to provide product and process training support to both internal and external personnel.

High mix/low volume work environment.

Castings/Foundry experience.
