Responsibilities

Handle escalated trouble calls.

Work closely with the NOC, deployment engineers, and carriers to resolve network issues.

Work with systems engineering to automate as many networks provisioning and turn up tasks as possible.

Perform installation and integration of backbone equipment in the network.

Provide detailed equipment installation specifications and drawings.

Interface with key network partners.

Work with DWDM engineering team to ensure capacity is provisioned as needed for a congestion-free and fully protected IP network.

Update and maintain accurate site records.

Ensure adherence to network procedures and policies.

Coordinate network parts inventory.

Design and provision network services for customers.

Perform maintenance on network equipment when needed.

Attend various meetings with management, other departments, and vendors to ensure company objectives are met.

Participate in inter-departmental planning meetings to coordinate and communicate activities related to the successful completion of projects.

Support Network Engineering, Network deployment, and Service Architecture needs across the shared backbone infrastructure.

Collaborate with Network Operations personnel to hand-off newly deployed equipment and customer services for ongoing surveillance and management.

Perform other duties as required to support the business and evolving organization.
