Responsibilities

Collaborate with the VPs of Account Management and Operations to understand the client insights strategy and desired deliverables. Use this information to select the appropriate research method or external partner to define methodology, costs, timelines, and deliverables.
Act as the lead managing the research audience build and partner execution, collaborating with the account teams and operations.
Review and/or add additional analysis to the research partner outputs. Meet with the account teams to present and discuss the analysis/output. Represent the research in client meetings.
Use segmentation research outputs to build comprehensive business or consumer personas for campaign execution.
Determine if the company can execute the research internally, identifying team roles, software tools, costs, and deliverables.
Meets with the account teams or new business team to understand the client goals and any client background. Uses this understanding to build a broad business analysis that provides the broader team with insights that drive the strategy and campaign-building discussions, recommendations, and ROI estimates.
Collaborates with the Chief Revenue Officer to redesign an intuitive approach to all client dashboards, taking a “big picture” business analysis approach while incorporating program KPIs, attribution methodology and using data to tell a story with strong visualization.
Collaborate with the VPs of Account Management or New Business Directors to define client data type and format needed. Work through the data intake process with the data teams to get the database and data set up and linked in systems.
Manage analysis team process to access proprietary data to pull data counts for proposals or lists for campaign execution in a timely manner.
Works with the omnichannel marketing operations team to provide a set of assumptions for use in building the campaign ROI and in costing/planning for new campaigns.
Working with the account teams leads analysis for client audits, and participates in client-facing audit reviews.
Works with the data teams to ensure the appropriate data connections are set up to enable dashboard/reporting and campaign operations. Builds the client dashboards working with the account teams. Regularly reviews client program analysis with the account teams and/or the client.
Manages the analysis team process to participate in and provide analysis for new client program pricing.
Working with the Chief Revenue Officer to design, update, and produce a monthly by-client SOW billing/billable report for monthly internal account team meetings.
Must maintain and keep the confidentiality of all customers, clients, and company information in accordance with the confidentiality agreement signed at the commencement of employment with the company.
Working with the Chief Revenue Officer, identify and maintain a set of “state of the industry” analysis metrics to be used in company updates, company business opportunity analysis, and with clients as needed. Produce regular reports.
Identify a set of trusted industry data sources and manage ongoing access (such as IBIS, Statista, government sites, publisher sites).
Participate in team discussions about industry trend data sources for our proprietary database.
Manage a calendar of industry content topics for the company brand blog and social posts.
Utilizing the analysis team, leads product pricing, competitive product offering or industry category research, analysis, and recommendations.
Working with the account team, participating in client-facing meetings to understand their current quoting, ordering, and promotional processes and apply knowledge to campaign planning.
Build quoting, ordering, and promotional process flows as needed (including company workarounds for clients with gaps in their current processes).
Work cross-functionally with the account teams and product management to build processes or identify software solutions to be used for things such as pro validation, credit card validation, and credit application processing, e-commerce, etc. as needed.
Collaborates with the Chief Revenue Officer to build a new cross-functional approach and process to building customer journeys, including process flow, teams, documentation, and standardized meetings.
Using client strategy, research, and process inputs and working with the account team and the omnichannel marketing operations team, complete the business or consumer journey map template thinking through personalization, integration of channels (if-then), and nurture messaging to be used for client approval and handed off to the omnichannel marketing operations for system execution.
Act as the trusted advisor to the account teams in the following areas:
Client business analysis and program analysis
Audience curation including database counts, use, and audience builds
Client business and journey process mapping
Market research and insights, segmentation, and personas
Industry metrics, data, and trending sales and marketing building topics
Conduct regular cross-functional discussions regarding assigned client needs, business or client analysis, and/or program implementation.
Hire, retain, coach, and manage the analysis team.
Conduct ongoing performance coaching sessions with his/her team to understand job expectations and goals and document performance concern areas.
Upholds the Company’s Open-Door policy by meeting with team members, listening to concerns, and providing resolutions.
Follows all company processes, system use, and policies.

Required

At least eight to ten years of experience in business analysis, insights, and process mapping working in an Agency, Consultancy, or marketing role in a B2B, B2C, or preferably a B2B2C company.
At least four years’ experience leading a team focused on analysis, research or process planning.
Marketing-related background, including insights or business analysis experience.
Knowledge of developing go-to-market strategies from client or market business analysis or inputs. Able to author client-facing strategic or analysis documents his/herself.
Deep understanding of financial analysis, customer segmentation, and personas and data management with the ability to talk in an informed manner about use in client campaigns.
Ability to present analytic findings to client senior management.
Experience with database query skills in SQL and experience with other databases, both relational and non-relational in structure.
Strong understanding of database management and structure.
Proficient in working with Microsoft Office suite of programs, including Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
Must understand or learn the industry, market, and product/service trends affecting our client’s competitiveness.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, leadership by example.
Personal and team organizational, project-management, and time-management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and thrive in an everchanging environment.
BS/BA degree (Marketing, Business, Finance, or related fields preferred), MBA preferred

Preferred

Prefer building industry experience or related multi-channel/multi-audience industry (B2B2C).
Proficiency with mining/quantitative analysis package or programming language (e.g., R, Python, SPSS, SAS, etc.) preferred.
High level of quantitative ability, with extensive knowledge of statistics and quantitative methods, and expertise with data mining and advanced analytical techniques.
Experience building custom dashboards in software such as Tableau or Domo.
