Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and manage packaging requirements and specifications.
Apply packaging engineering principles to execute the proper design, qualification, and implementation of Primary/Secondary/Tertiary Packaging components and associated systems.
Maintain a database of packaging guidelines and specifications along with item drawings for all approved packaging.
Support line trials and packaging validation activities prior to the introduction of any new or change in components/processes.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably in Packaging)
Minimum 1 year of experience in packaging development, design, and manufacturing
Knowledge of supplier qualification processes
Knowledge of plastic bottles, flexible packaging, closure systems, corrugate components, cartons and labeling for consumer products
Ability to work with cross-functional teams
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, meet timelines and work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
Knowledge of ISTA packaging and other shipping standards

Preferred

Project management experience
GMP experience
