Responsibilities
Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systems
Build product definition and drive towards the right solution using technical skills
Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the software lifecycle
Lead design sessions and code reviews to elevate engineering quality
Create and support reusable application components/patterns
Utilize programming languages like .Net C#, SQL, NoSQL databases, and Azure tools
Mentor other engineers
Share best practices and improve processes within and across teams

Required
Demonstrated programming experience in the Duck Creek insurance platform
Experience with advanced programming languages including .Net C#, XML/Xpath, SQL and object-oriented design
Experience building the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems
Proven understanding of microservices oriented architecture and extensible REST APIs
Advanced understanding of monitoring concepts and tooling
Advanced understanding of security protocols and products
Experience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as code
Strong problem-solving ability
Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of developer tooling across the software development life cycle (task management, source code, building, deployment, operations, real-time communication)
4+ years of Software Development in Duck Creek, CBO, Author, and ManuScript
4+ years of professional software development experience within the .NET framework (C# including object-oriented design)
3+ years of experience with architecture and design
3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
