Responsibilities

Coordinate and support internal and external meetings, events, and initiatives.
Manage site purchasing, office supply inventory, and vendor invoices.
Maintain the physical office environment and technology.
Provide support to employees for office supplies, equipment, and workspace needs.
Act as a receptionist, greeting visitors, issuing badges, and handling front desk duties.
Assist in onboarding new employees and participate in emergency preparedness exercises.

Required

4 - 6 years of related experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent in education, or 3 years of experience with an Associate degree, or 2 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
Facility with Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word).
Persistent approach to follow-up on tasks, with superb attention to detail.
Strong self-organization, problem-solving, and time management skills, with considerable emphasis on self-initiation and independent decision making. Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously and manage competing priorities with minimum supervision under deadline pressure in complex, fast-paced environments.
Excellent written and oral communication skills—able to communicate clearly and tactfully with individuals at all levels.
Stand-out interpersonal skills to build strong networks and highly effective relationships with team members, business leaders, and sponsors.
Discretion to handle sensitive or close-hold information.
Able to work onsite 4 days/week at MITRE Baltimore in Windsor Mill, MD.
Willingness to occasionally travel to McLean, Virginia for department events.

Preferred

Relevant event-planning experience, including experience with catering arrangements.
Competence with conference room A/V equipment or willingness to learn.
Attentiveness to organizational policies, procedures, and processes.
