Responsibilities
Establishes, designs, and specifies project-appropriate technology system requirements.
Plans and directs the work of EITs and Designers in the creation of Contract Documents.
Independently attends client meetings and communicates with clients, consultants, contractors, and others during various stages of project development.
Leads the execution of site investigations and observations.
Prepares narratives, reports, calculations, drawing and specification documents in accordance with a high degree of quality, yet with regard to project schedule and budget constraints.
Performs cross-discipline discussions and coordination.
Provides QAQC reviews of technology contract documents for quality and compliance with code and program requirements.
Participates in Construction Administration by reviewing shop drawings and submittals, responding to RFI’s, solving construction issues, and performing site visits to assess general conformance with the design concept.
Mentors and encourages the development of junior professionals and designers.
Performs marketing and business development activities including building relationship with key clients and strategic partners, technology scope proposal writing, fee estimates, and client interviews.
Travel for marketing and project-related activities will be required.

Required
Accredited degree in Electrical, Architectural, or Telecommunications/Technology Engineering.
Minimum 6 years telecommunications design experience on a wide variety of projects within the A/E industry.
Certifications: RCDD required; PE preferred. Other industry certifications are a plus.
Demonstrated practical knowledge of codes, related industry standards, and the design and construction of technology systems such as telecommunications infrastructure, cabling, audiovisual, security, acoustics, and wired and wireless networks.
Passion for staying current with emerging technologies and discussing technology trends with clients and LEO A DALY engineering and market sector leaders.
Strong desire to build a technology practice and establish a vision for market development including identifying opportunities, generating new business, building relationships, establishing and maintaining design and documentation standards, evaluating new technology design software, and supporting teammate development.
Production experience preparing deliverable drawing sets in Revit.
Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills.
Ability to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriately.
Positive attitude and commitment to being an active participant working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
