Responsibilities

Develop and implement CNC programs for machining centers, waterjet centers, and lathes using CAD/CAM software.
Interpret technical drawings and specifications to create efficient and accurate CNC programs.
Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for various materials and operations.
Perform test runs and adjust programs to ensure optimal performance and quality.
Collaborate with machinists and management to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to programming and machining.
Maintain and update CNC program libraries and documentation.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Effectively communicate with shop floor supervisor and production control manager.
Maintain a clean work environment.

Required

5 or more years of CNC machine tool experience in a manufacturing environment.
Read and understand blueprints.
Proven experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Strong knowledge of G-code and M-code programming.
Familiarity with various CNC machines, including milling machines, lathes, and multi-axis machines.
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Capable of lifting 40 pounds frequently.
Capable of working in a noisy environment.
Capable of working extra hours.
Capable of working in wet environments.

Preferred

Experience working for metal fabrication and/or machining companies in a low volume/high mix environment.
