Responsibilities

Performing structural design/analysis of bridges and preparing construction plans, project specifications, and quantity/cost estimates.
Working on multi-disciplinary projects including bridge, roadway, and traffic.
Functioning as a lead technical design engineer and potentially serving as the Project Manager.
Supervising and mentoring less experienced engineers to develop their skills.
Engaging in new project pursuits and networking opportunities through professional society events.

Required

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from a 4-yr accredited college or university.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Related Bridge Design Experience.
Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania.
Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in design of basic bridges (concrete, miscellaneous structures and retaining walls.
Experience with Bentley MicroStation
Working knowledge with Microsoft Windows Office Suite
Experience with PennDOT Design, Rating, and Inspection programs, familiar with engineering design packages such as MicroStation and AutoCAD.
Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.
Actively advocates for full in the workplace, fostering an environment that welcomes and values equity for all employees, partners, clients, and the communities that TranSystems serves.
No relocation assistance provided.

Preferred

Master’s degree in civil/structural engineering
Experience in more advanced bridge design (i.e. steel girders, steel substructure)
Successful completion of NHI Course (phone number removed) Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges and are current on NHI Course (phone number removed)A Bridge Inspection Refresher Training (if applicable).
Experience with advanced commercial structural software (CSiBridge, Midas, STAAD, SAP, etc…)
