Responsibilities

Develop forecasting models using time-series, machine learning, or deep learning algorithms and techniques.
Partner with Comcast Planning and Operations team members to support and drive overall Comcast demand/supply planning solution optimizations/improvements.
Contribute to the technical design of all data science related projects.
Utilize technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, statistical techniques, and data integration for decision support.
Continuous improvement planning roadmap for data science projects.

Required

Experience developing forecasting models using time-series, machine learning, or deep learning algorithms and techniques
Experience in Data science, machine learning, or optimization models
Experience in Python, Spark, Scala, or R, using open source frameworks (e.g., scikit learn, TensorFlow, Pytorch)
Knowledge of databases, data warehouse design, cloud storage, and ETL best practices
Experience with GitHub and ML cloud compute solutions (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Kubeflow, Databricks)
Results-driven with business acumen and ability to communicate findings
Advanced capabilities in Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and Python for analyses, model building, and presenting findings
Excellent project management, organizational, and collaboration skills
Global team collaboration experience
Ability to drive projects from ideation to production via ML pipelines
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred

6+ years of data science/ops research experience, preferably in supply chain industry, demand planning, CPG industry, or retail replenishment
Master’s Degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field. PhD a plus
Experience in supply chain planning systems like 09 Solutions, SAP APO, Blue Yonder, or other top tier solutions
Knowledge of leading data reporting applications (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlikview)
Understanding of supply and demand best practices and processes
Track record of innovative applications of data science principles to solve business problems efficiently
Experience with demand management metrics and forecasting accuracy
Operational and managerial skills in data-driven demand forecasting, logistics, supply chain, & operations
Multiple years of consumer goods retail environment experience with advanced modeling techniques
Strong analytical & data mindset
