Responsibilities

Build and maintain Business Continuity strategies to reduce risk and close gaps identified through risk assessment, business impact analysis, and exercising.
Assess the resiliency of Securian Financial in response to various types of incidents and identify and implement mitigation strategies.
Develop, coordinate and deliver exercises to business partners and leaders across the Company to identify gaps and validate plans.
Conduct business impact analysis interviews with key business areas to document changes in process dependencies and recovery requirements.
Coordinate recovery requirements with Enterprise Technology partners and associated disaster recovery plans.
Develop straightforward, actionable business continuity plans for key processes across the Company.
Manage recovery during an incident and assist with incident response activities throughout the duration of the incident.
Represent BCM with information requests from prospective customers and internal and external assessments to ensure compliance of the business continuity program.
Interact with senior leaders and associates from across the Company.

Required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with great attention to detail and accuracy, including the ability to interact with all levels of leadership.
Proven project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize concurrent tasks.
Strong critical thinking skills to ensure response and recovery strategies are effective, efficient and provide value.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, multi-task, and prioritize deadlines.

Preferred

Experience working within the Business Continuity and Incident Management domains preferred.
Experience with Business Impact Analysis (BIA) preferred.
Experience with business continuity and mass notification software preferred.
CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional) certification preferred.
Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for up to 8 hours per day
Ability to work at least 40 hours per week
Ability to utilize phone and/or virtual meeting platform for 1-4 hours per day
