Responsibilities
Determining quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes.
Establishing statistical confidence by identifying sample size and acceptable error; determining levels of confidence.
Developing experiments by applying full and fractional factorial techniques.
Developing sampling plans by applying attribute, variable, and sequential sampling methods.
Analyzing data by completing hypothesis, normal distribution, and process capability analysis tests.
Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; making recommendations.
Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies; maintaining American Society of Quality control certified quality engineer qualification.
Conducting studies to determine cause, effect and the corrective measures required to remedy deviations that impair desirable standards of quality.
Building and maintaining CMM/VMM routines using MCOSMOS and Zone 3 software for Mitutoyo CMM’s and OGP VMM.
Working with Engineering and Manufacturing personnel to resolve problems relative to product designs, specifications, materials, tooling and production operations affecting quality.
Working with Quality Inspectors and Technicians to execute in process and incoming receiving inspections.
Investigative procedures having to do with customer’s complaints and advising the Sales Department on technical matters relative to such complaints.
Assisting in the administration of ISO activity and procedures for quality assurance and customer satisfaction. Developing continuous improvements company-wide and monitoring the process.
Conducting specialized quality assurance assignments to develop new methods, new fixture layouts, capability studies, prototype part layouts, gage calibration, subcontracted assembly inspections and/or conducting training sessions to ensure care and use of inspection tools and gauging.

Required
Good understanding of manufacturing processes
Three plus years of recent experience
Extensive user knowledge of quality testing protocols
Proven inventory and production planning experience
Demonstrated analytical and problem resolution skills with high attention to detail
Manufacturing quality assurance background required
Strong ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) testing results to multiple audiences
Well-developed interpersonal skills are required
Strong computer skills
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent work history/training (ASQ Certified Quality Engineer)
Requires progressive training and experience in quality assurance and control techniques, product reliability and test laboratory procedures
Preferred
Experience in ISO Auditing preferred
CMM programming using MCOSMOS preferred
Knowledge of Materials and Material Science as well as statistical application using Minitab software is a plus
